One of the many tasks of the Office of the City Historian is to answer inquiries about Boise history that the public may have.  The History Division pursues several avenues to answer such questions, including, but not limited to, the History Division's reference collection, the Boise Public Library, and the Idaho State Historical Society.  At times the City Historian will refer individuals to these other institutions, in order for the individual to get the most accurate answer.
