The Boise City Department of Arts & History, through its City Arts & History Fund Program, provides funding to arts and history organizations and individuals based in Boise. Grants are awarded to those that provide the broadest benefit to residents and visitors and have a positive cultural impact on the community.
Why a funding program from the City of Boise?
The City of Boise is committed to supporting local cultural organizations, as illustrated in one of the City's key strategic goals: To foster an environment where learning, the arts, culture, and recreation thrive. The grant program of the Department of Arts and History supports this goal by:
- Promoting the growth and development of the city's artists and historians, and artistic, cultural, and historical organizations; and,
- Fostering the preservation and growth of the financial resources that support artistic, cultural, and historic activities.
Ideally, the funds awarded will expand cultural opportunities for individuals and organizations, developing audiences, and increasing awareness of art and history in every day life.
