Groups may choose one or more of the following options. Limit 30 people per option. Larger groups may be accommodated by selecting more than one activity and rotating groups.
Option 1: Self-Guided Visit – All Ages (30 – 60 minutes)
Explore the interactive Exhibit hall! Choose from a selection of videos to view in the Theater. Take the self-guided art podcast tour. Ten iPods are available for free check-out at the Boise WaterShed.
Option 2: Lessons and Field Study – All Ages (60 – 120 minutes)
An experienced instructor presents a lesson that incorporates hands-on activities and demonstrations. Each lesson correlates with specific grade level curriculum standards. Time of activities vary.
Option 3: Wastewater Treatment Plant Tour - Grades 4 and up (60 minutes)
This popular outdoor walking tour introduces the processes involved in wastewater treatment, from microorganisms to digesters. Come see why we’re #1 in treating #2! Please wear comfortable shoes and dress appropriately for the weather.
Option 4: Water Quality Lab Tour – Grades 9-12 (60 minutes)
This in-depth tour of Boise City's Water Quality Laboratory is tailored to the audience. Topics include environmental impacts, public health, wastewater treatment, chemical analysis and instrumentation. The interactive tour includes a 12-minute video, demonstrations, and discussion.
