Service Learning
Groups looking for an experience that develops community stewardship and civic action may choose from a variety of suggested service learning projects. Possible projects include:
- Mark storm drains
- Pick up litter along the Boise River or stream
- Help monitor the watershed and start a campaign in your school to improve water quality
Contact our Environmental Educator for more information. We will work with you to find a project that fits your interests.
Join EPA’s Watershed Patch Project! Get your school, science club, or your community organization involved in watershed activities. Through hands-on activities and community projects earn a certificate as a Watershed Wizard, River Rookie, Conservation Captain, or Aquifer Ace.
Scouts
The Boise WaterShed has programs available to assist Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts in meeting badge requirements. Girl Scouts can check out the EPA Water Drop Patch Project for information and then contact the Boise WaterShed to get started.
