Be safe with hazardous waste.

Products used for cleaning, home improvements, automobile maintenance, and law and garden care contain ingredients that can harm human health and the environment.  Properly disposing of these hazardous products will keep our community safe and clean.

Hazardous Waste Collection Program

Boise's Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) Collection Program consists of city-operated collection sites that support Ada County's permanent collection facility at the Ada County Hidden Hollow Sanitary Landfill.

Rotating Collection Sites

There are many convenient neighborhood collection sites services by the EnviroGuard vehicle.  Each site is open one day per month from noon to 7 pm and the service is free.  Waste must be dropped off only when the vehicle is present.  To locate the site nearest you, visit the City of Boise's HHW website for a complete schedule.  Business waste is not accepted at the collection sites.  Businesses must use the Ada County Permanent Collection Facility.

Ada County Hazardous Waste Collection Facility

Ada County residents may take household hazardous waste to the collection facility located at the Hidden Hollow Landfill off of Seaman's Gulch Road in NW Boise.  The facility is open Fridays and Saturdays from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm.  Call (208) 577-4736 for more information.
