Recycling Collection Schedule

Recycling collection will occur on your trash day every other week.  To help you remember your recycling week, there is a decal inside the lid of your recycling cart.  It it's a purple decal, you recycle on purple colored weeks.  If it's an orange decal, you recycle on orange colored weeks.  View the calendar to see the 2009 recycling collection schedule.  If you have any questions, please call Allied Waste at (208) 345-1266 or Boise City at (208) 384-3901.

2009 Holiday Schedule

Recycling collection is delayed by one day for the following holidays:  Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Day.

Special Programs

  • Curbside Leaf Collection:  Nov. 2 - December 4, 2009
  • Christmas Tree Collection:  Dec. 28 - Jan. 8, 2010
  • Residential Cleanup Weeks:  Dec. 28 - Jan 8, 2010

Residential Cleanup Weeks

Each year, the City offers two weeks of overflow trash collection service:  the first full week after Christmas and the last full week of April.  This allows residents to dispose of larger amounts of waste typically generated during the winter holidays and spring cleanup.  Residents can set out as much trash as they want but all waste must be in wheeled carts or 20- to 32-gallon trash cans.  No Overflow Stickers are needed.
