Overflow Stickers

Overflow Trash

In the event that you have more trash than will fit in your cart, you can set out your old trash cans if you affix City-provided Overflow Stickers to them.  Overflow Stickers will only work on trash cans and tied bundles of branches.  Bags of trash set out at the curb will not be collected.  Each sticker allows for a single use and will be removed at the time of pick-up.

Sticker Ordering

The City will provide each household with five free Overflow Stickers per year.  Your first set of five stickers is included with the delivery of your new cart(s).  Extra stickers may be purchased for $1 each, with a minimum of $5 per order.  To purchase additional stickers, please contact Boise City Utility Billing by pone at (208) 384-3735 or be email at stickers@cityofboise.org.

Residential Cleanup Weeks

Each year, the City offers two weeks of overflow trash collection service:  the first full week after Christmas and the last full week of April.  This allows residents to dispose of larger amounts of waste typically generated during the winter holidays and spring cleanup.  Residents can set out as much trash as they want but all waste must be in wheeled carts or 20- to 32-gallon trash cans.  No Overflow Stickers are needed.
