Is "Boise Air Terminal (Gowen Field)" the same as Boise Airport?
Boise Air Terminal (Gowen Field) is the same as Boise Airport. The name was given to us in the 1940s and is used by the FAA and airlines.
Is Boise Airport called Boise International Airport?
No. Boise Airport is not an international airport, which means we do not have a U.S. Customs and Border Protection facility at the terminal to process passengers. To fly non-stop to or from an international city, you must make at least one stop at an international airport. However, with non-stop service to several of the top 10 airports in the U.S., many international destinations are just one stop away from Boise.
What time does the airport open?
Boise Airport is open 24/7/365. Ticket counters, the concourses, concessions, and car rental counters do have hours of operation. These services are often open at least an hour prior to the first departure. Parking facility and building entrances are open 24 hours a day, 7 days week, 365 days a year.

How can I apply for a job at Boise Airport?
Each company does its own hiring. If you want to work for an airline, each airline hires its staff. The car rental companies, restaurants, news and gift shops, and parking also do their own hiring.

No. Boise Airport is a department of the City of Boise and is the property manager of the airport. We have no control of an airlines schedule, ticket prices, ticket counter hours, or other airline operations. If you need to make a reservation, change a reservation, or have other customer service needs, please contact your airline or a travel agent for further assistance.
Does Boise Airport have a currency exchange?
No. Since Boise Airport is not an international airport, we do not have a currency exchange.

Does Boise Airport have a lost and found?
Yes. It is located on the third floor of terminal building in Airport Operations, 208-383-3110. If you believe you left something on the airplane, please contact your airline.
Does Boise Airport have lockers?
No. Due to security restrictions and the nature of Boise Airport, we do not have enough activity for it be financially feasible for a vendor.
Do the concourses have jet bridges?
Concourse B does have jet bridges. Concourse C (primarily Horizon Air) uses a ground-loading system. There are covered walkways to the terminal. If you require special assistance in boarding or deplaning any flight, please notify your airline when booking your flight and again prior to your departure.

Can I wait at the curb for an arriving passenger?
Due to federal security regulations, there is no waiting at the curbside. The curb is for active loading and unloading only. There are hefty fines for ignoring the curbside restrictions.
Please, use our cellphone lot that is located west of the entrance for short term parking. The cell phone lot is free and available on a first come first served basis. Vehicles may not be left unattended. Then you may pull up to the curb only if your party is there ready and waiting. Please allow approximately 30 minutes for your party to deplane and collect baggage.

Can I park my bicycle at the airport?
Yes. We have bicycle racks at each end of the lower (arrivals) level of the terminal.
How much is taxi fare to downtown, Caldwell, Nampa, etc.?
The rate varies. We suggest you contact a local cab company for rates and charges. Qwest phone directory.
Airlines
Does my airline have a local telephone number?
Airlines do not have local telephone numbers for customer service. The airline staff is focused on assisting passengers who are physically in the terminal. If you need reservation, flight information, baggage, or other customer service assistance, you can find the airline contact information by clicking on Airlines & Flight Information on the left menu.
How early should I arrive for my flight?
Airlines on the average suggest at least 90 minutes prior to departure (2 hours during holiday or busy travel seasons). Allow yourself enough time to account for traffic delays, and to get checked-in and through the security checkpoint. You should be at your gate when boarding begins, which is at least 30 minutes prior to departure. Airlines also have cut-off times for baggage check-in, often 30 minutes prior to departure. Confirm these and other time restrictions with your airline.

In Boise Airport, flight information displays are located in Rotunda (1st and 2nd floors), ticket lobby, and on the B concourse (Gates B10 & B16).
Can I check-in curbside?
Yes, if you are flying United or Southwest you can check-in (and check your baggage) at the curb. For all other airlines, you will need to proceed to the ticket lobby. Just remember that the curb is for active loading and unloading only.

Does my child need an ID to travel?
Children under the age of 18 do not require an ID. TSA has a public web site that has additional information about traveling with children http://www.tsa.gov/travelers/airtravel/children/index.shtm. Also confirm with your airline . There restrictions and guidelines for children traveling alone, traveling international, traveling with a guardian, etc.
Is my child considered a carry-on?
No. However, if your infant is flying with you and does not have his or her own seat, many airlines have an age limit and may require proof of the child's age. Please confirm the regulations and limitations with your airline.
Is my pet considered a carry-on?
Yes. There are several restrictions and limitations regarding pets flying in the airplane cabin and as cargo. Confirm the regulations, limitations, and fees with your airline.
