 Fire Chief Dennis Doan cmartinsen@cityofboise.org Phone: (208) 384-3960 Cell: (208) 919-1057 | Dennis Doan started his career with Boise Fire Department in 1991 as an entry level firefighter. He advanced to the rank of Senior Firefighter in 1995 before his promotion to Captain in 2002. He is the former President of the Professional Fire Fighters of Idaho (PFFI), Founder and past Chairman of the PFFI Fallen Firefighters Memorial, and Boise City Firefighter of the Year in 2003. Dennis was appointed Fire Chief on February 12, 2008. |
Deputy Chief of Operations Perry Oldenburg poldenburg@cityofboise.org Phone: (208) 395-7893 Cell: (208) 919-2043 | Perry Oldenburg began his career with the Department in 1991. Working his way through the ranks, he was promoted to Senior Firefighter in 1994. Perry was honored as Firefighter of the Year in 1997. He was promoted as Captain Firefighter in 2004. Perry served on the Union Local Executive Board from 1994-1996, then elected as Vice President in 1997. He served a two year term as Union President from 2000 to 2002. Perry earned a Fire Department Life-Saving award in 2005. He became Deputy Chief of Operations in February 2008. He manages personnel for 15 fire stations, 7 Battalion Chiefs and the Division Chief of Special Operations. |
Division Chief of Special Operations Brent Ho bho@cityofboise.org Phone: (208) 433-5687 Cell: (208) 869-0911 | Brent Ho joined Boise Fire Department in October 1989 as an entry level firefighter. He was promoted to Senior Firefighter in December 1994 and Captain in November 1998. Brent transferred to the Administration Division in October 2005 at his current rank of Division Chief of Special Operations. He oversees the Department's Dive Team, Haz Mat Team, Aircraft Rescue Firefighting Team and the Technical Rescue Team. |
 Deputy Chief of Training Tracy Raynor traynor@cityofboise.org Phone: (208) 378-8517 Cell: (208) 869-5160 | Tracy Raynor joined Boise Fire Department in January 1983 as an entry level firefighter. He was promoted to Senior Firefighter in 1990 and Captain in 1993. Tracy filled the vacancy of Battalion Chief of Training from 1999 to 2005. His rank changed to Deputy Chief of Training in September 2005 where he currently supervises Department training requirements, physical fitness, safety and emergency management. |

| Sandy Records transferred to Boise Fire Department from the City Parks and Rec Department in 1979. She started her career as a Secretary in the Administration office. She was promoted to Senior Accounting Specialist in April 1987 and Administrative Assistant in January 1992. Sandy was promoted to her current position as Administrative Manager in February 2004. She oversees budget, administration contracts and technology for the Department. |
Deputy Chief of Fire Prevention Fire Marshal Dave Hanneman dhanneman@cityofboise.org Phone: (208) 384-3963 Cell: (208) 941-9324 | Dave Hanneman joined Boise Fire Department as an entry level firefighter in 1988. He was promoted to Senior Firefighter in 1992,Captain in 1995 and Battalion Chief in 1998. He served as Deputy Chief of Operations from March 2002 to August 2005. Dave was promoted to his current rank of Deputy Chief of Fire Prevention and Fire Marshal in August 2005. He manages the Public Education, Code Enforcement, Fire Investigation and Plan Review Division of the Department. Dave is also the Public Information Officer for Boise Fire Department. |
Deputy Chief of Logistics Mitch Caldwell mcaldwell@cityofboise.org Phone: (208) 384-3961 Cell: (208) 869-5000 | Mitch Caldwell was hired by Boise Fire Department in 1989 as an entry level Firefighter. He was promoted to Senior Firefighter in 1993 and then Captain Firefighter in 2000. Mitch advanced to the rank of Deputy Chief of Logistics in March 2008. In his current position, he supervises the Maintenance Division, oversees the Department's facilities, Fire apparatus, hydrant and Opticom programs. |
