It's that time of the year for MDA Fill-the-Boot. Boise Firefighters will be raising money for the Muscular Dystrophy Association on Friday, May 30th and Saturday, May 31st.
Boise Firefighters will be asking motorists and pedestrians to donate money as they strive toward the goal of filling fire boots with cash. The campaign is held at Boise's busiest intersections. Two locations planned for this year are the Fairview Avenue / Milwaukee intersection and the Broadway / Boise Avenue intersection. The event will be held from 8:00am to 5:00pm.
All donated funds are used to send children to Muscular Dystrophy Camp each summer and to purchase equipment such as wheel chairs and walkers for victims of the disease. Several local firefighters attend MDA Camp each year to assist children for a week of camping and activities. Click here for more information about camp and view photos.
