Council Member Ben Quintana
Ben Quintana is a business and economic development advocate, dedicated volunteer and civic leader in Boise. He is passionate about his community and works hard to make a difference and improve the quality of life for Boise’s citizens.
Ben’s expertise and strengths include leadership development, initiating strategic partnerships and forging new opportunities for economic growth. Ben currently works as the Program Manager for Leadership Development at St. Luke’s Health System – Idaho’s largest health care provider and largest private employer – where he leads the development and execution of the organization’s leadership development strategy.
During his time at the Boise Metro Chamber of Commerce and Boise Valley Economic Partnership, Ben developed successful working relationships with site selection experts, corporate executives, government officials and local stakeholders to help attract new business and economic development opportunities to the Boise Valley. He continually works to form partnerships and solutions for small businesses, early-stage startups, entrepreneurs and innovators.
As a dedicated volunteer and civic leader, Ben gives back to his community by serving on several nonprofit boards and committees. He currently serves on the Advisory Board for Boise State University’s College of Social Sciences and Public Affairs, Board President for Kickstand, Founder and Leadership Team member for Boise Young Professionals, Chair of the Leadership Boise Alumni Association, Big Brother with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southwest Idaho and Board Development Committee member for the Treasure Valley Family YMCA.
Ben attended public school in Mountain Home, Idaho and received his undergraduate and graduate degrees in the Boise area. He received his B.A. in Communication from Boise State University and his M.A. in Organizational Leadership from George Fox University.
Ben is a recipient of the Idaho Business Review’s Accomplished Under 40 in Idaho, Kickstand’s Meg Carlson Leadership Award, the Capital Lions Club Community Service Award and is a graduate of Leadership Boise and the Boise Citizen’s Police Academy.
Ben and his wife Christine live in Southeast Boise with their two dogs Charlie and Tucker. They are avid users of Boise parks, the Greenbelt and trails in the foothills.
