Mission: AdVenture is committed to providing quality sports, recreation and outdoor adventures for people of all abilities. By taking place in the most integrated setting, the AdVenture program shall promote self-confidence, wellness and physical fitness leading to a more independent lifestyle.
Boise Parks & Recreation's, AdVenture program, meaning Adapted AdVentures, offers recreation, wilderness excursions, fitness programs, sports and social activities to individuals with disabilities, their families and friends. AdVenture programs are available to people with a variety of disabilities such as orthopedic, spinal cord, neuromuscular, hearing and visual impairments as well as intellectual disabilities.

Flying into the Idaho Wilderness for overnight camping, whitewater rafting, biking, bowling, camping, canoeing, dance classes, fishing, fitness classes, snowmobiling, swimming, water-skiing, wheelchair basketball, social outings, drumming, summer camps, train rides and much more.

Participant Personal Needs
The adapted recreation personnel provide leadership for the activity but are unable to provide attendant care (feeding, toileting assistance, etc.). Care providers should accompany participants who need personal care. Registration fees for care providers may be waived or will vary depending on the activity. The AdVenture Newsletter is a bi-monthly publication that highlights AdVenture's adapted recreation programs for the upcoming months. The newsletter also features a calendar of events, volunteer & referral information and photos from past AdVenture programs.
