The Art Center is a state-of-the-art facility offering quality art instruction for youth and adults at an affordable price.
Located in Fort Boise Community Center, the 4,500-square-foot Art Center encompasses three studio spaces and a photography lab. More than 200 different classes are offered each year for children age 2 1/2 to seniors.
Professional instructors teach classes in a wide variety of art mediums, including:
- Drawing
- Painting
- Clay
- Photography
- Sculpture
- Multi-media
The Art Center encourages opportunities for people with disabilities by providing accommodations or specialized classes such as ACCESS TO THE ARTS offered by the Boise Parks & Recreation Department’s AdVenture program.
Fort Boise Community Center and the Art Center are operated by Boise Parks & Recreation.
Self-concept is positively enhanced through the arts, as are language acquisition, cognitive development, critical thinking ability and social skills.
