Our community center is located at Grace Jordan Elementary School near the intersection of Overland and Curtis in Boise.
The school and community center were built on the grounds of McKinley Elementary School. Grace Jordan serves students from the former McKinley, Jackson, & Franklin Elementary Schools.
The 4,000-square-foot community center features multipurpose rooms for free after-school drop-in use, an art center with classes for children and adults, and a supervised teen activity center with computers, games, and a lounge area.
The center features an art & dance studio for fee-based instruction for children and adults. For information about winter/spring 2011-2012 classes, see the Grace Jordan flyer.
You can register online, by phone at (208) 608-7680 or in person at Fort Boise Community Center, 700 Robbins Road.
Kid City, a free after-school drop-in program is open from 3:00-7:00pm for children in grades 4-6, includes fitness and art programs, homework assistance, and a healthy snack.
Teens will enjoy an informal gathering space with cozy lounge chairs, computer stations with interactive video games, and a flat-screen TV with Nintendo Wii. Staff members will provide mentoring and life skills development for teens. The free teen center hours are weekdays from 3:00-7:00pm.
