Earthquakes occur around the world. Children and adults can learn more about shifting plates, slipping faults and more in a free program from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Feb. 13 at the Foothills Learning Center.

Encompassing thousands of acres of public land and more than 100 miles of trails, the Boise Foothills provide a scenic backdrop to the city and serve as home to wildlife, plants, geology and historic features. Three unique programs enhance our mission to be a good steward of public lands: Foothills Learning Center, Ridge to Rivers, and Open Space Conservation.
