City Seeks Vendors for Food & Beverage Concessions at Willow Lane Athletic Complex, 2 Pools
Boise Parks & Recreation is seeking proposals from vendors to provide summertime food and beverage service at Willow Lane Athletic Complex, the Natatorium and Ivywild pools. Proposals are due Jan. 31.
Willow Lane Athletic Complex, 4623 W. Willow Lane, features six lighted softball fields, a soccer field, playground and BMX dirt jump park. Boise Parks & Recreation runs adult softball leagues at the park from 6:30-10 p.m. weeknights from April through September. About 540 teams participate in the softball leagues annually with an additional 20 weekend tournaments scheduled throughout the summer. In addition to a food counter, the site also includes a beer booth.
Ivywild and Natatorium are the department's busiest pools. About 42,000 people visit Ivywild Pool, 2250 S. Leadville, throughout the summer. The Natatorium, 1811 Warm Springs Ave., logs about 23,000 visits with approximately 12,000 hydrotube rides. Concessions are open during the public swim hours from 1:30-5:30 p.m. and from 7-9 p.m. weekdays from early June through mid-August.
Combined 2006 season concession revenues were approximately $85,000.
Vendor selection will be based on experience, service, products, prices and other factors. The proposed seasonal lease rate is $6,500 per month for June through September plus 3 percent of any gross receipts over $120,000.
Proposals for Seasonal Concession Services are due by 4 p.m. Jan. 31 at the City Recreation Office, 110 Scout Lane, Boise, Idaho, 83702-6355. For a detailed RFP or call 384-4256.
