Crews work on Julia Davis Park road
The contractor for a pedestrian safety and roadway enhancement project in Julia Davis Park has completed paving but work remains on striping, landscaping and other features. A section of the south river road will be closed this week for a Zoo Boise construction project.
From June 2-6, the contractor for Zoo Boise's African Plains exhibit will close a segment of the south road along the Greenbelt for construction of a waterline. The road will be closed between the turnoff to the zoo and the intersection with the main road east of the tennis courts.
Please Note: Traffic patterns and parking will be normal during the weekend of May 31-June 1.
Motorists and pedestrians are urged to use caution throughout the construction project, which is slated for completion in early June.
A map showing the construction area, bus loading and unloading areas and the Boise Tour Trolley is available here. The map will be updated regularly to reflect changes in the construction schedule.
During construction, Zoo Boise, Idaho State Historical Museum, Boise Art Museum, Idaho Black History Museum and other entities in the park are open during their regular business hours.
