6300 S Surprise Way
The Barber Observation Point is a 2-acre special use area in Southeast Boise's Surprise Valley. This is a great spot to observe the scenic beauty of the Boise Foothills, the Boise River and the Barber Pool Conservation Area.
The
Barber Pool Conservation Area (BPCA) is managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. The site contains one of the last intact black cottonwood stands in the rapidly urbanizing Boise area. The BPCA is a unique habitat for all kinds of wildlife. New interpretative signage has been completed at the park about
habitat diversity and
watching from a distance.
