Fort Boise Park

Fort Boise Park was acquired in 1950 from the federal government after the Defense Department has declared it surplus. It was originally 40.37 acres, but in 1956, several acres were traded to the Idaho Elks organization in exchange for a site of approximate the same size off of State Street. The site is currently about 33 acres in size.

The Skate Park is located in the north west corner of the park. It is a below ground, cement skate park with transition walls varying in height from 3 feet to 6 feet. Photo taken by Erica Deshner, 1998.

These courts are lighted.  They were renovated by Boise Parks & Recreation in Summer 2005. The cost for lighting is $3.00 per hour.
