Helen B. Lowder Park is a small neighborhood Park located in southeast Boise. The park is 5 acres and featuring picnic areas, a playground, and basketball courts.
Formerly known as Centennial Park, the name was changed in May 2003 to honor a great Community leader. Mrs. Lowder was recognized for her years of service as a commissioner and past president of the Board of Parks & Recreation Commissioners and as a trustee and former president of the Boise Public Library Board.

Lowder was a member of the Foothills Conservation Advisory Board and publicly endorsed the serial levy that guaranteed the preservation of foothills open space for generations.
She also served on the Library Building Steering Committee and participated in the selection of consultants for the library vision project and development of the Master Library Facility Plan that will guide a branch library system over the next 20 years.
