Report Underage Drinking & Over Service

Officers urge the public to report any instances of underage drinking or over service anyplace in the city by calling crime stoppers at 343-COPS . You can remain anonymous!
“We know underage drinking and the over-service of alcohol is happening in our community more than it gets reported,” said
Boise Police Chief Michael Masterson.
“Many other crimes are associated with both these issues, both are serious threats to public safety in many ways. We’d like
the public’s help in getting a better handle on where the problems are so we can put a focus on education and enforcement.”
The campaign urges citizens to call Crime Stoppers if they see a location, either a home or business, where underage drinking
or the over-service of alcohol is an issue.
Citizens are also urged to call 9-1-1 if the crime is in progress.
“Education on this issue is huge,” said Chief Masterson. “We want citizens to report these
crimes right away so we can do immediate enforcement. We also need to track where the
problems are occurring so we can better focus our education efforts.”
"Anything we can do to reduce the irresponsible sales or use of alcohol is one of our main objectives," said Dyke Nally, Superintendent
of the Idaho State Liquor Dispensary.
"This awareness project is vitally important to the safety of the communities we serve."
The state grant awarded to BPD is part of a program from the National Alcohol Beverage Control Association meant to enhance
and expand alcohol education efforts.
