Boise, Oct. 3, 2007 – Boise Police Chief Michael Masterson gathered community partners together today to increase awareness of domestic violence in our community and to spread the word about programs meant to decrease incidents of family violence.

Boise Police believe that education in conjunction with enforcement can make the difference when it comes to public safety issues. Officers urge the public to report any instances of underage drinking or over service anyplace in the city by calling crime stoppers at 343-COPS . You can remain anonymous!

Boise City leaders are pleased to partner with one of Idaho's most established towing companies, in helping spread the word about an important neighborhood initiative: free towing of abandoned vehicles for the month of November.

Boise Police have placed purple magnetic ribbons on patrol cars for the month of October. The department hopes they help show victims of domestic violence they have the support of law enforcement. Boise, August 24, 2006 – Boise Police Chief Michael Masterson says in a recent survey of river floaters, a large majority rated their experience as “Awesome!” and felt very safe floating the river.

Boise Police Chief Michael Masterson is praising the officers who arrived first to a burning apartment building early this morning. The officers are credited with beginning a safe evacuation of the building, then assisting Fire by obtaining a list of building tenants so all residents could be accounted for.

August 10th 2006-Boise Police volunteers will ask folks floating the river this weekend to rate their experience. It's a follow up to the new public safety measures implemented along the river last summer.
