(Boise, ID) – Starting with their May bills, 70,000 City of Boise sewer and trash customers will find some major customer friendly changes.
These are the new improvements:
- Residential customers will now be billed every two months instead of three
- Bills will have a fixed due date of the 25th of each month
“We wanted to meet the requests of our customers. A frequent complaint of the customers was the changing due date and the confusion that caused. In addition, customers didn’t want to pay for three months at a time,” Public Works revenue officer Jon Williams said. “We hope these significant changes address the concerns of our customers.”
Bill with the new changes will begin arriving as soon as May 2nd.
For most customers the new billing cycle will alternate with United Water’s bi-monthly billing to smooth out financial impact to shared customers. Many customers actually requested a fixed due date so they can make payments on a specific schedule. When the 25th falls on a weekend or bank holiday, payment will be due the previous work day.
Customers can also sign up for the Boise EasyPay option. EasyPay allows people to have the amount due taken directly from their bank account on the due date.
