Garbage Collection
Garbage is collected weekly Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. with no limit on the number of carts, cans, or bags you may set out. Place your containers at the curb or in the alley before 7:00 a.m. to ensure collection. Cans must be removed from the curb within 24 hours.

Your collection day varies depending on your neighborhood. If you are unsure when your collection day is, see the collection day map.

Helpful Hints
- Do not overload containers or pack them so tightly that contents will not fall out.
- Make sure drivers have safe and convenient access to carts or cans.
- Do not place hazardous materials, paint and vehicle batteries on the curb for collection. These materials are not part of the curbside collection program. See the household hazardous materials page for more information.
- Place wheeled carts at the curb line with the lid hinges pointing away from the street. Avoid placing carts or cans close to obstructions such as mail boxes, fire hydrants, parked cars, or utility poles.
- All materials must fit into your carts or cans with the lids closed properly. A closed lid will prevent tampering by pets, minimize odors, and block rainwater.
- Do not block sidewalks with carts, cans, or bags.
- Do not set out containers any sooner than the evening prior to collection.
