When would the streetcar run?
The current proposal calls for the streetcar to run seven days a week with a 10-minute frequency during peak hours.
- Weekdays 7:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m.
- Saturdays 8:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m.
- Sunday 10:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Ridership
How many people would ride?
Experts estimate 1,200 to 1,600 trips on an average weekday, for a total ridership of 400,000 to 500,000 trips per year.
Costs
What are the annual costs?
The annual operation and maintenance cost for Phase 1 of the streetcar system is approximately $1.2 million.
Power
How would it be powered?
The streetcar would be powered by an overhead electrical system.
- System wires would be approximately 19 feet off the ground and would power both modern and replica streetcars.
- Poles would be designed to blend in with the historic downtown district.
