Located a few miles upstream from the Boise River’s confluence with the Snake River, the Dixie Drain Phosphorus Removal Facility is a precedent-setting and innovative project that will greatly enhance water quality of the Boise and Snake Rivers by removing phosphorus from water flowing downstream.

Mayor David Bieter is proud to announce the naming of Boise’s Municipal Park in honor of three-time Olympic gold medal winner Kristin Armstrong. Kristin Armstrong Municipal Park will now join a series of other major regional parks along the Boise River and Greenbelt named after prominent Boise residents known as the Ribbon of Jewels.
