Celebrating Boise's Ribbon of Jewels

As we celebrate Women’s History Month, the Boise Public Library, Department of Arts & History, and Parks and Recreation Department are hosting an evening of conversation at the Library! at Hillcrest. The Greenbelt serves as a uniting ribbon connecting some of Boise’s most notable parks. The Ribbon of Jewels is a string of parks that were given to the City of Boise honoring the legacies of the remarkable women that the parks were named after. This event is free and open to the public and includes speakers, a viewing gallery with curated photos and materials about the history of the parks and their namesakes, and more. Light refreshments will be served.

Who: Speakers include Diane Davis Myklegard, Kristin Armstrong and Mayor Lauren McLean

What: A celebration of Boise’s Ribbon of Jewels parks and the women they are named after

When: 6 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.

Where: Library! at Hillcrest (5246 W. Overland Rd.)
