| You can get a real feel for some of these trails by viewing the QuickTime Virtual Reality panoramas we are offering.
The map above has links to all the panorama sites. Just roll over each dot to see the name of the site in the box, then click a dot to view the panorama for that site.
QuickTime Virtual Reality (QTVR) Panorama Description
The first time you see a good QuickTime VR panorama, it can almost take your breath away.
The panoramas will let you navigate in a 360 degree circle, viewing everything that is visible from one spot. You simply click the mouse down on the picture and scroll around.
|
QTVR panoramas and scenes with more than one panorama on the Web can range between 100k to over 2 megabytes. For this project, which was produced in 2000, we decided to use an image size of less than 300K for faster downloading.

What you need to view QTVR
You will need QuickTime to view the interactive panoramas on this web site. The QuickTime playback software is cross platform and available at no cost. We suggest downloading the latest version of QuickTime, the industry-leading multimedia software for both Macintosh and Windows platforms.

|
This software will let you view the QuickTime movies embedded into the web page and will "cache" the movies you have recently viewed so they don't need to re-load when you return to them during one online viewing session.
