Corrals Trail Area
This region ranges from the edge of the Highlands neighborhood to the Boise Ridge below Bogus Basin Ski Area. The opportunities are equally diverse and can get you into some pretty remote areas where you will likely not see anyone else. Exploring this region fully will require equally large quantities of time and stamina but it will reward the person willing to invest in the journey.
Bob's Trail #30
It seems to be a love/hate relationship for most folks when it comes to this rough and tumble trail along the East Fork of Crane Creek. It is purposely maintained to retain this narrow, rocky condition to provide a rugged trail experience. Connect to it from Trail #1 off 8th St. or ride or walk up from Hearthstone Dr. Watch out for the poison ivy.
Corrals #31
This is a popular route that is used as a loop to Bob s #30 or up to 8th St. It is deceptively rolling but a great walk as an out and back. This is a good option for horse use as the Miller Gulch Trailhead site has room for a few horse trailers. Cattle grazing still occurs in this area so please close gates.
Scott's Trail #32
This is a single track that branches off Corrals and heads up to 8th St. Look for the fine stands of native grasses on the north side of the slope.
Hard Guy
Trail #33
This is a long and winding route to the Boise Ridge. Due to long site lines and wide tread it's a good option for horseback rides by staging out of Miller Gulch. If you make it to the top you are rewarded with great views and a first hand look at the transition between high desert and forest ecosystems. Watch for raptors soaring the ridge during fall migration.
