This work includes key initiatives like wildfire risk reduction through responsible land management, buying and developing new parks, preserving open space, and building new pathways to connect our city.

Candidate Terms

In 2020, the Idaho Legislature passed a bill requiring cities with populations over 100,000 people to create districts for city council elections. This year, districts 2, 4, and 6 will be up for election in 2025. Residents can only vote for the City Council seat in their district.

All city council districts run for four-year terms, with elections staggered two years apart.
