ADA Meeting Accommodations

Arrangements for a sign language interpreter, documents in Braille and other auxiliary aids and services necessary for effective communication for qualified persons with disabilities need to be made as soon as possible.

Please contact City Clerk's office if an auxiliary aid is needed for a City Council Meeting. For all other public meetings, contact the city department sponsoring the meeting.

  • Idaho Legal Aid Services (Boise) is a nonprofit law firm offering free civil legal services to low-income Idahoans, including those with disabilities, to ensure access to justice.
  • Idaho Human Rights Commission (Boise) administers state and federal anti-discrimination laws, providing resources and guidance for individuals facing discrimination, including those with disabilities.
  • Idaho Volunteer Lawyers Program (IVLP) connects low-income individuals, including those with disabilities, with volunteer attorneys for free civil legal assistance.
  • ACLU of Idaho works to protect the civil rights of all Idahoans, including those with disabilities, through litigation and advocacy.
  • Northwest ADA Center – Idaho offers technical assistance and training on the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
  • Idaho Association of the Deaf promotes and protects the education, economic, social, welfare, and citizenship rights of any deaf and hard of hearing citizens of Idaho
  • Idaho Hands and Voices supports families with children who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing (DHH).
  • Idaho Parents Unlimited (IPUL) educates, empowers, supports and advocates for individuals with disabilities and their families.
  • Idaho Commission for the Blind & Visually Impaired (ICBVI) agency assists blind and visually impaired persons to achieve independence by providing education, developing work skills, increasing self-confidence and helping them remain employed or prepare for employment.
  • Idaho Council for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing responsible for increasing awareness, advocate for equal access, provide information and referral, monitor consumer protection, recommend public policies and programs, conduct research, and submit reports to the Governor and policymakers.
  • Clemys Crew offer support programs providing financial assistance, care packages, travel stipends, and housekeeping services to ease stress and additional demands on families during tough medical events.
  • Idaho Crisis and Suicide Hotline provides 24/7 free and confidential suicide and behavioral health crisis intervention.
  • NAMI Treasure Valley is dedicated to building a better future for our neighbors, friends, and family affected by mental and mood disorders.
  • DeafLEAD is a non-profit agency that provides 24-hour crisis intervention, advocacy, case management, interpreting and mental health services to Deaf, hard of hearing, DeafBlind, and late deafened individuals who are victims of crime and their families, as well as support to individuals, agencies, and organizations providing victim services to individuals with a hearing loss.
  • Boise Parks and Recreation Adaptive Recreation Program provides a wide range of recreational, social, and educational programs specifically designed for individuals with disabilities, including adaptive sports and inclusion services.
  • Game Changers Idaho offers multiple sporting opportunities for children with and without disabilities, creating an inclusive environment for athletic participation.
  • Boise Bombers Wheelchair Rugby is a competitive wheelchair rugby team in the Boise area, providing opportunities for individuals with disabilities to engage in team sports.
  • Idaho Sled Hockey Association promotes disability sports by offering sled hockey opportunities, educating the public about adaptive sports in Idaho.
  • BASE facilitates winter sports opportunities for individuals with disabilities through professional ski and snowboard education in a safe environment, which increases physical, social, and functional skills.
  • Challenged Athletes Foundation - Idaho provide opportunity, access, and belonging for athletes with physical disabilities.
  • Golden Eagle Audubon – Accessible birding
  • Idaho for All provide adaptive recreational equipment at State and private parks as well as National forests across Idaho for use by the public free of charge.
  • Northwest Association of Blind Athletes Enriching Lives Providing Opportunities through sports and physical activity to individuals who are blind and visually impaired.
