How to Use Your Blue Envelope

Keep your Blue Envelope in your vehicle with copies of your:

• Driver's license
• Vehicle registration
• Proof of insurance

You can also include emergency contact information and details about your disability or communication needs.

If you are stopped by law enforcement, tell the officer you have a Blue Envelope. Ask for permission before reaching for it, then hand it to the officer. The information can help first responders communicate with you and provide the support you need.

There are no eligibility requirements to request or use a Blue Envelope. Anyone who thinks the program would be helpful is welcome to participate. Participation in the program is entirely voluntary.

Where to pick up your Blue Envelope

Envelopes will be available on Thursday, September 10.

City Hall West

  Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday, 7 a.m.–5 p.m.
• Star - 10769 W. State St.
  Monday–Friday, 7 a.m.–5 p.m

Locations are closed on City holidays.

Please allow up to 10 business days to process mailed requests. If you need a Blue Envelope sooner, please visit one of the locations above to pick one up.
