Special Event Permit

Affidavit of Application and Extraordinary Resources Agreement

AFFIDAVIT OF APPLICATION

I swear that the information provided in the foregoing application is true, complete, and correct to the best of my knowledge and belief. I understand and acknowledge that any false, misleading, or fraudulent statement or omission of material fact in this application may result in the denial of this application or the suspension or revocation of any Special Event Permit issued pursuant to it, in addition to any other penalties provided by law, including but not limited to the penalties set forth in Boise City Code section 3-17-10.

I acknowledge that the approval and conduct of this Special Event application are subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws, rules, and regulations, including Boise City Code.

I further acknowledge that this application and any resulting approval are subject to any conditions, policies, and directives of the Mayor and City Council, or the Special Events Team, as well as any other governmental or regulatory requirements governing the Special Event, including the use of the event venue and the conduct of the event.

If this permit creates a possessory interest subject to property taxation, I agree to be solely responsible for paying the taxes and shall indemnify the City of Boise from any and all responsibility or liability for the payment of such taxes.

I certify that I am duly authorized to act on behalf of the organization hosting the event (hereinafter “Host Organization”) and to bind the organization to the terms set forth herein. On behalf of the Host Organization, I agree to comply with all applicable requirements and accept full financial responsibility for any and all costs, fees, or liabilities incurred by or in connection with the Special Event and owed to the City of Boise.

EXTRAORDINARY RESOURCES AGREEMENT

Special event applicants, promoters, and sponsors whose events require extraordinary city resources due to anticipated attendance or heightened security concerns shall be responsible for paying for the full cost of those extraordinary resources as determined by the city’s department or division designee to the Special Events Team. Full payment shall be made no later than thirty (30) days following the conclusion of the special event. Failure to pay within thirty (30) days may result in denial of future special event permits.

Pursuant to Title 3, Chapter 17, of the Boise City Code, organizers of events that would otherwise qualify as a special event but expect fewer than one thousand (1,000) persons or are held on private property may choose to submit a Special Event Application. Such applicants may be required to appear before the Special Events Team to obtain required governmental agency approvals and pay the application fee.
