Candidate Forms

Declaration of Candidacy

All candidates are required to file for candidacy with the Boise City Clerk. The appropriate form is available here.

Certification of Treasurer

Every campaign is required to assign a treasurer in charge of managing incoming campaign funds on behalf of the candidate and must be filed with the Boise City Clerk. You can find the form here.

Declaration of Write-In Candidate

To be considered as a viable write-in candidate, this form must be filled out completely and filed with the Boise City Clerk prior to election day.

Candidate Withdrawal

To withdraw candidacy for office, this form must be completed, signed and submitted to the Boise City Clerk prior to election day.

Election Manual

The city clerk’s primary responsibilities include overseeing candidate filing, forwarding information about candidates and ballot measures to the county clerk’s office, and assisting and answering questions from citizens and county election staff.

Campaign Finance Reporting Manual

The 2019 Campaign Finance Reporting Manual is a comprehensive resource manual intended to assist city clerks, candidates and campaign treasurers in understanding their responsibilities under the Idaho Sunshine Law, found in Idaho Code Title 67, Chapter 66.

48 Hour Notice of Contributions

Use this form to report any contribution of one thousand dollars ($1,000) or more, received after the sixteenth (16) day before, but more than forty-eight (48) hours before, any primary or general election.
