The Pawn or Precious Metal Sales Application is for all persons engaged in the business of a pawnbroker or precious metal sales.
This license requires a background check which must be conducted in person for fingerprinting at City Hall. Fingerprinting must be completed before your license will be processed.
A copy of lease or proof of property ownership for the property.
A copy of the Certificate of Occupancy.
The City of Boise now allows you to apply for your license online. First time users of this system will be required to set up an account.
Once you've logged in, click "Apply > License" in the top menu. Select Pawn or Precious Metals Sales Application from the license menu.
Note: your application is incomplete until you have completed a background check and fingerprinting, which is conducted in person at City Hall.
