ADA Accessible On-Street Parking

There are 67 accessible on-street parking spaces marked as accessible in downtown Boise. They are indicated by a sign and blue paint on the curb.

  • Any vehicle displaying the accessible plate or placard may park in these spaces without regard to time limits.
  • Any vehicle displaying the accessible plat or placard may park in ANY legal space without regard to time limits or accessible space indications.

State-Issued Accessible Permits

Public Requests for On-Street Accessible Parking

Submit a request for the city to add accessible parking spaces to on-street parking.

*Stalls marked with ADA signage and pavement markings, but exhibit varying degree of ADA non-compliance.  City of Boise is in the process of prioritizing and programming improvements to bring all non-compliant on-street accessible parking stalls into compliance.

Meetings

The City of Boise issued a Public Health Emergency Order on March 19, 2020 suspending most Boise City board and commission meetings. Due to this order, the Accessible Parking Committee meetings have been cancelled until further notice. 

As per City Code, the City of Boise’s Accessible Parking Committee generally meets five times each calendar year (typically the 2nd Friday of January, March, May, September and November) or as necessary to discuss issues related to accessible parking. The Committee makes recommendations to the Boise City Division of Parking Services on modifications to existing accessible parking as well as recommendations on additional accessible parking. All meetings are open to the public.

Next meeting is scheduled for March 13, 2020 at 1:30 p.m.
