Property Tax Rebate Program

The City of Boise is continuing the Property Tax Rebate Program that offers qualified Boiseans a property tax rebate for their 2025 property taxes. This means that Boise homeowners who applied for and were approved for the State of Idaho’s Property Tax Reduction Program in April 2025 are also eligible for the City of Boise Property Tax Rebate Program.

Eligible residents have until March 31, 2026 to apply.

Program Qualifications

  • Must be participating in the State of Idaho’s Property Tax Reduction Program
  • Must have paid your previous year's property taxes in full by June

Homeownership will be evidenced by the homeowner’s exemption being on their tax bill from the county treasurer.

How to Apply

Your completed application must be returned either by mail or in person to the City of Boise by March 31, 2026 at the following address:

Property Tax Rebate checks will be sent in August 2026 to the primary property owner.
