Storage of Scrap Tires and Tire Byproducts Permit

The storage of scrap tires and tire byproducts permit is required to establish, conduct or maintain storage of scrap tires and tire byproducts that exceed 2,500 cubic feet of total volume of scrap tires, and for indoor storage of tires and tire byproducts.

Activity Description

Statement of operation describing nature of operations, including:

  • type of materials used/stored
  • quantity of materials
  • storage configurations
  • fire protection devices provided


  1. Log in to our online permitting and licensing system. If you are a first time user of this system, you will need to create an account.
  2. After logging in, click "Apply" and select "Fire Permit" from the top menu bar.
  • Review and accept the online disclaimer and complete the application.
  • In your application you will have the opportunity to request an inspection date and time. Please note that the Fire Department will contact you directly to confirm your inspection time.
