The cellulose nitrate film permit applies to the storage, handling or use of cellulose nitrate film in an assembly occupancy.
Application Materials
Before applying for this permit, please have the following materials ready:

Prevention Plan Drawings
Prevention plan drawings (site plan) including building floor plan with proposed area of operation and all related storage areas housing film.
Activity Description
Activity description stating the nature of the business, type of projection equipment used, number of projectors, quantities of all film and fire protection devices provided.
Application
- Log in to our online permitting and licensing system. If you are a first time user of this system, you will need to create an account.
- After logging in, click "Apply" and select "Fire Permit" from the top menu bar.
- Review and accept the online disclaimer and complete the application.
- In your application you will have the opportunity to request an inspection date and time. Please note that the Fire Department will contact you directly to confirm your inspection time.
