A bonfire permit applies to recreational fires that are not in enclosed 2 ft x 3 ft fire pits.
Before applying for this permit, please have the following materials ready:

Prevention Plan Drawings
The prevention plan drawings (site plan) should include: the location of the bonfire, details on size of the bonfire and distance to structures and combustibles.
Activity Description
Activity description should include: the size of the proposed bonfire, type of fuel, description of the ground under and surrounding the bonfire, description of the ring or enclosure, types of fire prevention measures and duration.
Application
- Log in to our online permitting and licensing system. If you are a first time user of this system, you will need to create an account.
- After logging in, click "Apply" and select "Fire Permit" from the top menu bar.
- Review and accept the online disclaimer and complete the application.
- In your application you will have the opportunity to request an inspection date and time. Please note that the Fire Department will contact you directly to confirm your inspection time.
