The city offers a zero premium family medical and vision plan, as well as low-cost dental benefits for full-time employees. The city also provides additional pre-tax flexible spending accounts.
Retirement & Investment Plans

The city offers Public Employee's Retirement System of Idaho (PERSI), 401k or 457 investment options with employer match, as well as a health savings plan to help you pay for health expenses should you leave your position at the City of Boise.

Wellbeing Program
Program participants can earn up to $500 per year and additional incentives for using alternative transportation. A free Employee Assistance Program is also provided to you and your family
Paid Leave

The city gives 8 hours of vacation time per month, increasing with longevity. There are also 11 paid holidays a year, 8 hours of sick leave per month and 6 weeks parental leave.
