  • One city, one team for the greatest good.

The Opportunity: Deputy Director of Comprehensive Planning

You’re an individual who’s driven by the call to action: creating a city for everyone. We’re an organization looking for our top comprehensive planning professional to lead a team of passionate and engaged planners, focused on advancing the city’s strategic priorities. Current comprehensive planning highlights include codifying Blueprint Boise and implementing the Urban Pathways Master Plan, which expands bike and pedestrian connectivity for transportation and recreation. The team is also working hard on land use, urban renewal districts, and neighborhood plans.

Boise is unique in that the streets are managed by an independent, countywide highway district. The Deputy Director of Comprehensive Planning will need to collaborate successfully with this agency, a valley-wide transit authority, and an independent urban-renewal agency.
