Policy Statement & Notification of Protections

The City of Boise is committed to ensuring that no individual or organization is excluded from participation in, denied the benefits of its program, activities or services, or subject to discrimination on the basis of race, color, or national origin in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, as amended. Any person who believes they have been aggrieved by any unlawful discriminatory practice under Title VI may file a complaint with the City of Boise.

The City of Boise strives:

• To promote full and fair participation in transportation decision making;
• To ensure meaningful access to the City of Boise’s programs and activities by
  persons with limited English proficiency.

The City of Boise’s Title VI Coordinator is responsible for providing leadership, direction and policy to ensure compliance with Title VI.

How Do I File a Complaint?

Any person who believes she or he has been the object of unequal treatment or discrimination, or been excluded from participation in or denied benefits of the City of Boise's programs, activities or services on the grounds of race, color, or national origin may file a complaint with the City of Boise’s Title VI Coordinator within 180 days from the date of the alleged discrimination.
