My business received a postcard about the small business grant program, does that mean I am eligible for funding?
The postcards were sent out to notify businesses of the program. Eligibility and prioritization for the grant will be determined through the online application process.
If I fill out the application, am I guaranteed funding?
A completed application does not guarantee funding. Once the application closes (January 31, 2023), all eligible applications will be prioritized based on responses and number of applications.
Is my business eligible for the grant if it is not located in Boise city limits?
No. This opportunity for Boise-based businesses only.
My business is located within Boise city limits, but not within a qualified census tract (QCT), can I still apply?
Yes! Location within a QCT is just one way to confirm that a negative economic impact was experienced as a result of the pandemic.
I submitted my application, but I have an error that needs revision. What should I do?
Please email supportcob@unitedwaytv.org with the application number that was listed on the confirmation email you received, a detailed explanation of the error, and the correct information that needs to be updated.
What year should I use to calculate my sales income?
The 2021 calendar year.
If I received pandemic-related grant funding for my business in the past (such as Pandemic Unemployment Assistance funds), am I still eligible?
Yes. Receiving other grants does not disqualify you from receiving this grant. However, small businesses that have yet to receive any pandemic relief support will be prioritized.
Is massage therapy eligible?
Yes. Please use the Hair, Nail and Skin Care Services North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code: 81211.
I don’t see my business listed in one of the eligible NAICS code. Can I still apply?
Unfortunately, no. If your business does not qualify within one of the NAICS codes, you are not eligible to receive this grant.
I own more than one business; can I apply for a grant for each one?
A business owner is only eligible to receive one grant, regardless of how many separate businesses they own.
When will I know if I have been selected?
Applicants will be notified March 2023.
