Reopening Safely at the City of Boise

The City of Boise is excited to begin the slow and safe reopening of our facilities and services. We know that many Boise residents and visitors are looking for activities to do with their families and we're excited to provide you options.

Here are some highlights of what has recently opened, or will be opening soon:

Zoo Boise will be reopening on Monday, June 22. The staff at Zoo Boise has been hard at work on a safe reopening plan and visitors must now purchase tickets online ahead of their trip to the zoo. There will be a set pathway around the zoo and some exhibits and activities will not be open.  Notable closures will be the Small Animal Kingdom, Penguin Pavilion and all playground areas. There will be no animal encounters including the Giraffe Encounter and Zoo Farm. We are asking visitors to wear masks while at the zoo.  All zoo staff will be wearing masks.
