Lifetime and Leisure

Lifetime and Leisure Activities are social, educational and fitness related programs for adults age 62 and older. Transportation is provided from three of the Boise City Community Centers to many of the programs. Join us for an activity, meet new friends and leave the driving to us! We have added a lot more opportunities this year, and as always, we love to hear your suggestions for new activities or places to visit.

Explore Boise with different experiences through Shoshone Falls, Wild Rose Farms, Buy Idaho and more!

Get a first-hand experience with different organizations like 20 Mile South Farm, Benjamin Victor Art Studio, City Hall and many more!

Get a group together and join us at McCall Winter Carnival or Music Week!

Travel Opportunities

Boise Parks and Recreation offers overnight travel opportunities for our participants as well as community members.  Adults of any age are welcome to travel with us. Call (208) 608-7578 for additional information.

Maritimes Coastal Wonders | September 29 - October 9, 2020

Explore Nova Scotia, Cape Breton and Prince Edward Islands.  Explore interesting inventions at the Alexander Graham Bell Museum.  Enjoy Culinary Inclusions including a lobster feast and a mussels cooking contest on P.E.I.  Explore the Cabot Trail and journey along the shoreline to the amazing Hopewell Rocks.

Classical Greece | November 1-10, 2020

Classical Greece takes you to all the authentic must-see sights in Italy. Explore the grandeur of Olympia, Athens, and come to know two breathtaking Byzantine monasteries in Meteora, built over 600 years ago. Wine and culinary experiences abound. This trip contains rough terrain on cobblestone streets, and a lot of walking.
