An outdoor preschool is a place for children to learn in an outdoor environment through exploration and play. Through this creative learning environment, children are also preparing for kindergarten.
Children who learn in this environment are taught a special love and respect for nature and their surroundings. There are more opportunities to explore by listening, looking, smelling, and touching while also using their imagination in a play-based learning environment.
Preschoolers will explore the surrounding ecosystem, learn through a STEM based curriculum, and develop cognitive, motor and emotional skills.

In an effort to better serve our customers, Boise Parks and Recreation is launching a payment installment option for families signing up for Boise Outdoor Preschool or Summer Playcamps. During enrollment you can choose to pay in full or you can select the new payment option to have a credit card charged monthly prior to the start of each month. (Charges will hit accounts on the 1st of each month). Please note for payment plans, registrants are required to pay an initial installment of $289, with following monthly payments of $240.
Scholarships are available. Please submit scholarship requests at least 14 days prior to enrolling.
If your child(ren) have been approved for a scholarship and you are using the scholarship funds to help pay for Outdoor Preschool, please contact us at 208-608-7680 to set up installment billing. Please be prepared with a credit card that will be placed on file to be charged monthly for the costs that the scholarship will not cover.
