This summer, Boise Parks and Recreation is offering eight Playcamps at area parks. These affordable, day-long programs provide developmentally appropriate activities for children ages 6-12 (children must be going into first grade), Monday through Friday. This summer, we will be following all state and local health and safety protocols at camp while creating a fun and educational atmosphere for students.
FACE COVERINGS NOW REQUIRED (As of July 4, 2020)
Please know your child’s safety and the safety of our Playcamp leaders is of the utmost importance to us. This summer we will be implementing the following protocols:
- Lower participation numbers at all Playcamp locations
- Temperature checks upon arrival at camp each day
- Participants split into smaller groups on site to adhere to physical distancing recommendations
- Frequent hand washing for all children and staff throughout the day
- Frequent cleaning of all supplies, tables, restrooms, recreation equipment and art supplies
All Playcamps run throughout the summer.
If you have questions, please email or call (208) 608-7680(our office is staffed Monday-Friday 8 a.m.- 5 p.m.).
Welcome to Playcamp, the outdoor summer camp located in your own neighborhood! Playcamp activities are designed to encourage healthy recreational play and meet the physical and social needs of your child. Camps offer recreational games, arts, crafts, environmental education and hands-on science projects. Playcamps will look a little different for the summer of 2020 being that we are unable to have swim days due to safety precautions, but rest assured we have an adventurous summer planned with plenty of engaging and exciting activities. All of the Playcamp staff are trained in CPR/First Aid and child development to ensure that your child has a safe and positive experience.
Please send a sack lunch, two snacks, water bottle and sunscreen with your child each day. We offer scholarships for youth in our community who qualify.
