Summer Playcamps

In an effort to better serve our customers, Boise Parks and Recreation is launching payment installment option for families signing up for Summer Playcamps. During enrollment you can choose to pay for multiple sessions in full upon registration as has been the practice in the past, or you can select the new payment option to have a credit card charged weekly prior to the start of each session, (charges will hit accounts on Sundays). Please note for payment plans, registrants are required to pay for the cost of the first day of their selected Playcamp session when signing up. 

Scholarships are available. Please submit scholarship requests at least 14 days prior to enrolling. 

If your child(ren) have been approved for a scholarship and you are using the scholarship funds to help pay for Playcamp, please contact us at 208-608-7680 to set up installment billing. Please be prepared with a credit card that will be placed on file to be charged weekly for the costs that the scholarship will not cover.

Welcome to Playcamp, the outdoor summer camp located at nine City of Boise parks!

Manitou, Catalpa, Winstead and Jullion locations have limited availability as of 4/2/2024.

Playcamp activities are designed to encourage healthy recreational play and meet the physical and social needs of your child. Camps offer recreational games, arts, crafts, environmental education and hands-on science projects rotating each week. All playcamps also have weekly field trips and swim days. Our dedicated staff members have an adventurous summer planned with plenty of engaging and exciting activities!

  • Playcamp enrollment is open to elementary students that are entering 1st grade through entering 6th grade. Children entering 7th grade the following school year are not eligible for Playcamp.
  • Playcamp hours are Monday-Friday (excluding holidays), from 7:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
  • All Playcamp staff are trained in CPR/First Aid to ensure that your child has a safe and positive experience.

Registration Information

Registration opens for Boise city residents on Monday, April 1 at 7 a.m.
Registration for non-residents opens on Wednesday, April 3 at 7 a.m.
