Fall 2021 Activity Guide Cover

Stay active this fall with Boise Parks and Recreation! Our team is offering a variety of classes, camps, and volunteer opportunities in the coming months, many of them outdoors. Programs will continue to focus on increased health and safety protocols. In line with current Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidance, face coverings are required indoors at City of Boise facilities for the health and safety of all participants.

What's New

Boise Parks and Recreation is excited to offer a variety of new classes and activities to keep you and our family active and engaged this fall.

Dance for Body & Mind

Keep your body and mind healthy in this new class for adults. Discover how you can remain active and groove at your own pace in this dance party workout with low impact dance steps.

Ages: 18+

Cost: $49-$61 Resident / $75.40-$94 Non-Resident

Grow Together Gardening – Parent/Child

Spend a morning in our garden exploring the natural world with your little ones every second Sunday this fall. Instructors will facilitate activities and garden tasks that will have you and your child working and learning together.

Ages: 2-4 + Adult

Cost: $7

Parkour is getting from point A to point B as quickly and efficiently as possible using just your body and environment. Each class we will go over how to land, roll and fall safely as well as move quickly in your own style. Each week has its own theme from vaulting to jumping, flipping and climbing.

Ages: 6-11

Cost: $24 Resident / $36.65 Non-Resident


School Break Camps

A variety of camps are available during school breaks for kids ages 5-12. Try something new! Themes will focus on environmental education and Zoo Boise.

Lifetime and Leisure

Lifetime and Leisure is excited to offer limited programming this fall. Sign-up for a tour of a Ribbon of Jewels park, the Boise Depot or Idaho Botanical Gardens. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, no transportation will be provided to and from trips this season so please plan accordingly.

Park Reservations

Are you planning a family picnic or special event in a Boise park? Reservations guarantee you the location, date and time for your scheduled event. We recommend early planning and scheduling due to the high demand for park sites and facilities.

Reservations are accepted from April 15 through October 15. During the remainder of the year, sites are available on a first come, first served basis.
