The Winter & Spring Activity Guide

The 2019/2020 Winter & Spring Activity Guide is Now Available

This seasonal guide is packed with hundreds of exciting and affordable camps, classes and activities for the entire family! Stay active this winter and plan ahead for an adventurous spring. Registration begins for Boise residents on Monday, Dec. 9 and for non-residents on Wednesday, Dec. 11.


At A Glance

All your favorite activities are back including ice skating and hockey, dance classes for all ages, ceramics and painting, mountain biking, STEM classes, golf lessons and more.

Sports Leagues

Looking to make friends and play a sport? Sign-up for an adult volleyball or softball team. All experience levels have a place in Boise Parks and Recreation’s affordable leagues. Check out page 45 of the Activity Guide for more on league play.

Art for All Ages

Boise Parks and Recreation offers a wide variety of art classes for children and adults. From ceramics to drawing, photography to painting, there’s something for everyone! Prices for Boise residents are often under $50 per class!

Hit the Ice

Stay active this winter and learn how to skate! Idaho IceWorld offers Learn to Skate and Learn to Play classes for all ages interested in figuring skating or hockey. Our experienced coaches will help you take your skills on the ice to the next level! Browse the guide by age groups to see the options for children and adults.

School Break Camps

When school is out, we’re active! Boise Parks and Recreation offers a wide array of camps during winter and spring school breaks. Spring Break camps for pre-school aged children are listed on page 10 of the guide and you can browse all the school break options for youth age six-12 starting on page 19. From culinary camps to learn to skate and mountain biking camps, there’s something for everyone!

Summer Playcamps

It’s time to start thinking about summer and our popular Playcamp program is back! For ages six through 12-years-old. Page 23 of the Activity Guide lists all locations and times for camps held May through August.

Lifetime & Leisure (Ages 62+)

Explore the Treasure Valley and beyond and make new friends with our Lifetime and Leisure program. We’ve added new outings for winter and spring that will take participants to local museums and landmarks, art studios, breweries and wineries and much more! All trips are listed on pages 48-51 of the Winter/Spring Activity Guide.

Registration Information

Ready to reserve a spot in one of our exciting camps, classes or activities? Residents can register online, over the phone or in person starting on Monday, Dec. 9. You can register online or call (208) 608-7680 and speak with someone directly. You can also register in person at Fort Boise Community Center. Please be sure to have the activity number(s) ready for the classes you want to sign up for.

Non residents can begin registering on Wednesday, December 11.
